Denplan Supplementary insurance (worldwide dental accidental and emergency) is available for an extra cost of £0.60 per month.
Denplan is the UK's leading dental payment plan specialist with over 6,500 member dentists across the UK and approximately 1.8 million patients.
For Denplan Care - your Denplan fees are set by your dentist, based on the amount of time you will spend with them and other members of the practice team during the year. Your dentist will also consider the costs of likely treatments based on your level of oral health.
Dentists set their own fees; these vary depending on the location of the practice, its overheads for meeting professional regulations, and the dental payment plan you agree. You can view details of the dental payment plans to check what is and isn't included in the products. Every Denplan care contract is between you and your dentist. Please confirm what's included in your plan with your dentist.
Why might my fees change?
The amount you pay is dependent on your dentist's evaluation of your oral health and the amount of treatment you need. Your fee will reflect the amount of time your dentist and the dental team spend with you. If your oral health changes, this will be reflected in your fee. Additionally, Denplan dentists review their fees in line with business costs and professional regulations, such as the new infection control facilities needed.
Private Treatments
At Beech House we offer private dentistry and also private alternatives for NHS patients. We offer tooth whitening as well as a range of cosmetic treatment for your teeth. Your dentist shall be happy to discuss these treatments with you.
At the examination appointment we shall explain your treatment options with you and provide an estimate of the charges
Hygiene Appointments
Healthy gums are essential to maintain healthy teeth. Hygiene appointments are available either on a private basis or in addition to NHS treatment. Hygiene appointments may be included in your Denplan membership. The current charge for a hygiene appointment is £70.
The treatment that your dentist believes is necessary to achieve and maintain good oral health is available on the NHS. This means that the NHS provides treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy and free of pain.
Depending on what you need to have done, you should only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you need to visit more than once to finish it. Some people may be exempt from the payment of NHS dental charges.
There are three standard charges for all NHS dental treatments which increase to the following from 1 April 2024
Band 1 course of treatment – £26.80
This covers an examination, diagnosis (including X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant.
Band 2 course of treatment – £73.50
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus fillings, root canal work or removal of teeth.
Band 3 course of treatment – £319.10
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges where applicable.
An NHS leaflet is available which explains the above in more detail. Click here to learn more about NHS Dentistry
